Your body is your muse

Not quoting John Mayer here, but your body is your wonderland. It’s amusing how our memories are based on the things we’ve touched, smelt, felt, seen and heard.

Being human has probably been one of the greatest gifts of being alive. There is so much to be alive for. You get to enjoy the every aspect of nature as well as write about it, sing songs about it, dance to the tunes of it and also paint or frame pictures of it and the most important part of it, you get to see others doing it and appreciate, support and join them. Your body — the head, the spine, the neck, collar bones, shoulders, arms, fingers, breasts, belly, hips, legs, feet, toes. They complete you. Your body gives the shape to your soul, like how it’s really supposed to be. They make you, you. Every curve of your body is a curve that you’ll find in the folds of a flower petal, the feathers of a bird or the leaves of a tree.

Body — what a wonderful word wrapping everything about you in just four letters.

Have you felt the rays of sunlight falling on your fingers and you feeling the warmth trickling down all the way down your hands, and then you slowly take your face closer to the window just to get some more warmth? Being sun-kissed, it automatically brings a nice, dimply smile across your face. Have you ever tried to warm yourself under a blanket, only to feel the warmth slowly travel from your toes to the shoulders? Fairy lights, a book in your hand, some hot chocolate on your bedside, and some warmth under the blanket.

Your body will love you back once you try pampering it based on your awarenesses every now and then. Surprise your body. Feel your body. Get naked in front of that mirror and talk to your body. All of it. Pleasant words, pleasant scents, pleasant creams. Mmmmm.

To be continued…
